Because most people trust their doctors and doctors tell them vaccines are safe and effective. If you attempt to research to find otherwise your search will not bring up alternate views ,but will only promote CDC approved agendas. Doctors and nurses receive no real education on vaccines. I had no idea that in the US liability had been removed from pharma and anyone involved in the chain of giving a vaccine on the childhood vaccine schedule or that VAERS even existed. I administered vaccines and was unaware of these basic facts. I was a NICU nurse and was unaware that pregnant women have been receiving vaccines during pregnancy-a hard no when I was having children.This fact was never listed on a maternal history of drugs taken during pregnancy. I had no idea how much the vaccine schedule exploded until after the 3rd grandchild came along and was shocked by all the vaccines she had been given.Her mother had done all the "research" and was assured that they were safe and needed. Which goes back to my first point. The information that most people encounter is very controlled and they have been primed to believe that anyone who expresses opposition to a vaccine is evil.
